Kanotpaddling på Järleån 2007 / Canoeing on Järleån 2007

Första dagens paddling var regning och för en annan som blivit van med att allt är skyddat från väta i en kajak fick sig en återanpassning till kanotlivet! Fin Lördag kväll när solen kom fram, med tältning efter åstranden, grillning mm. Nästa dag så var vädret bättre, men pga ett litet hål där bärsnöret på kanoten går in så lyckades jag få ett antal saker blöta även denna dag! Vi hade dock turen att komma förbi Järle station precis den dagen de hade marknad och körde Ångtåg på gamla Nora-Ervalla Järnväg. Några tillfällen att bära kanoten innebar att turen tog längre tid än vi tänkt oss, dessutom tog det lite tid att reka färdvägen genom de tre forsarna vi passerade och förstås skulle paddla i.

The first days canoeing was rainy, and for me who has been used to all packing being water protected in a kayak quickly was adpated back to the canoelife! We had a beautiful evening when the sun cleared away the clouds in the evening. We put up the tents by the shore of the stream and made a barbeque. The next day the weather was better, but due to a small hole in the canoe (where a carrying strap goes through) I had a few thing wet even this day... On the other side we were lucky to pass by Järle station on the exact day they had a market and were running steam locomotives on the old Nora-Ervalla railroad. A few carrying passages, and also scouting the small faster streams were we of course wanted to pass with the canoe, made the tour take more time than expected.
